The "Remembering Our Roots" exhibit showcases the unique heritage that tells the story of the fruit industry in the Hood River Vallay and the surrounding Mid-Columbia region. Step back in time and experice this history by viewing an authentic picker's cabin, artifacts, tools and equipment of the fruit packing facilities. The exhibit also features a display of apple boxes, local fruit labels, and photographs of generations of orchard families. "Remembering Our Roots" is the introductory exhibit for The Fruit Heritage :Museum scheduled for opening in spring of 2012.

"Remembering Our Roots" was funded by The Fruit Foundation Historical Society, curated by The History Museum of Hood River County and hosted by The Fruit Company of Hood River.

Self-guided tour available Monday - Friday 9 am to 4 pm. (Free)

April 1 - November 1 Hours:

Self-guided tour available Monday - Saturday 9 am to 4 pm (Free)
Tram tours of the orchards available at 10 am and 2 pm Monday - Saturday (Fee)
